slow letters,
meaningful connections.
Snailpost is a slow-mail pen pal app. One kindred stranger, letters that fly for real hours across the world — and land like gifts.
some letters are addressed to everyone.
Post an open letter to no one in particular. Anyone in the world can pick it up and write back — and every reply becomes its own slow conversation.
“to whoever is awake at 3am — the city is finally quiet, and for once I like it here.”
“I quit my job today. I told no one. I’m telling all of you.”
“the first snow just reached my street. it’s falling past the window as I write this.”
“I’m translating my grandmother’s recipe book, page by page. today: lemon soup.”
“does anyone else keep every letter in a shoebox under the bed?”
a whole post office, the size of an app.
Kindred matching, slow letters, open letters, and a stamp album — wrapped in something that feels like stationery, not software.
wondering about the slow part?
Is Snailpost like the Slowly app?
They are family — both are slow-mail pen pal apps where letters take real hours to travel. Snailpost is the quieter alternative to Slowly: a postmaster introduces you to one kindred stranger at a time, there are no feeds, streaks, or collections to grind, and every friendship moves one letter at a time.
What is a slow-mail pen pal app?
An app for writing real letters to strangers around the world. Instead of instant chat, each letter flies for real hours based on the distance between you — like airmail — so replies land as small events, not notifications you drown in.
Is Snailpost free?
Yes. Snailpost is free to download and write on, for people 16 and older. It is on Android today; the iOS version is being built.
Is Snailpost a dating app?
No — the opposite of one. Snailpost is for friendship and pen-pal correspondence only. It is human-moderated, and seeking romantic or sexual contact is against the rules.
